  1. What is a desktop? Explain the Windows XP desktop? 
    A Desktop is refer to a Graphic User interface or a Operating System, the desktop is a start first screen which organized the applications in the form of icons in the managed way. The computer desktop is like a physical real desktop. you can keep may item on your desktop like cell, glasses, audio system CD bag, wallet and more. And  the computer desktop work in same manners. We can make shortcuts of all the installed applications, softwares, games and directories and files as well. It will help your to access the internals items quickly you used mostly instead of you click many time to run and pen them.

    Window XP Desktop is a desktop OS there are may things to consider on it. There are amy icons on the desktop screen. These all are the features or the installed application of window. When you click on it these gone blue surrounded color it means the item is selected. And double click on the icon the application will run or the file or folder will open.
                    
  2. What is a font? Explain how to install a new font.  
    A Graphical representation of text is known as font. It also includes the different designs, point size, typeface and weight of a font. font is a set of specific size, style, type and design which is printable or displayable. Often typeface used without much precision, interchangeability. You can define  size in points and pixels, and font face like Arial, Verdan, Times new roman, monotype corsiva etc. And also can define the style like italic font, bold font, underline and strike etc.

    To install a font in window operating system first click on start and then settings and select the Control Panel. In the Control panel there is icon of fonts double click on it. In the fonts window you can see all the already installed fonts. To install  a new font click the file menu and select install new font. Here you can locate the directory of font and select the font you want to install.
